Your home is only as strong
as its weakest opening.
During a hurricane, if one window fails, wind rushes into the house and creates tremendous pressure inside — while the storm is pulling on the other windows, doors and roof from outside. Pushed from inside and pulled from outside, more windows and doors can blow out, and the uplift on your roof goes way up. Your ceiling sheetrock isn't structural — it isn't designed to hold your roof down.
Windows And Roof Work Together
Impact windows help keep the building envelope intact, while a properly installed roof system is designed to resist hurricane-force uplift. One without the other leaves a gap.
Your Power Bill in August
Old single-pane windows let the cool air you paid for leak straight outside, and the sun fades your floors and furniture while it happens. New impact glass keeps the house cooler and quieter — you notice it every day, not just during a storm.
Insurance Getting Harder
More Florida homeowners are getting rate hikes, or a letter saying they won't be renewed, because of the age of their roof or unprotected windows. Insurers look hard at your roof — not just your windows — so both matter when it's time to renew.
A Small Leak, A Big Bill
A roof repair can uncover damaged decking or other work that changes the scope. Florida's 25% rule also has exceptions based on the roof's code history. We explain the condition of your roof and the applicable requirements before recommending repair or replacement.
The Knock After a Storm
Every hurricane season brings out-of-town trucks going door to door. Some are fine. Some take a deposit and disappear, or do work that your insurance later won't cover. We're in Margate year-round, and you can look us up before you call.
Paying For It
Almost nobody has a new roof or a house full of windows sitting in savings. That's what financing is for — Ygrene PACE, which isn't based on your credit score, and conventional financing through GoodLeap. We'll walk you through what you actually qualify for.
Windows, doors, roof, gutters.
One company to call.
Most people end up hiring one company for the roof and another for the windows — two schedules to juggle, two warranties to keep track of, and two people pointing at each other if something leaks. We do it all, so there's one number to call and one company standing behind the work.
Impact Windows
Glass that's built to take a hit from whatever the wind picks up. It also makes the house noticeably quieter, keeps it cooler in summer, and stops the sun from fading your floors — so you get something out of it every day of the year, not just during a storm. High impact rated and installed by our own crew.
- Cracks but stays in the frame — the storm stays out
- Quieter bedrooms, even near a busy road
- Lower cooling bills through the summer
- Floors and furniture that don't fade
- Much harder to break into than regular glass
- Every style and shape, including arches
Impact Doors
Your sliding door is usually the biggest piece of glass in the house — and the one people forget about after they've done the windows. We replace the whole thing, frame and hardware included, because a strong door hung on weak hardware isn't a strong door.
- Sliding patio doors, including wide multi-panel
- French doors, opening in or out
- Front and side entry doors
- New frame and locks, not just new glass
- Slides smoothly again — no more shoving it
- Matched to the windows around them
Roofing — Repair & Replacement
Leaks, missing shingles, storm damage, or a roof that's simply reached the end and your insurance is asking about it. We work on every kind of roof South Florida has, we pull the permit with your city, and we tell you honestly whether you're looking at a repair or a replacement.
- Shingle, tile, metal and flat roofs
- We find where the leak actually starts
- Straight answer on repair vs. replace
- Seamless gutters available with your roof
- We handle the permit and the inspection
- Yard cleaned up before we leave
Seamless Gutters
Seamless gutters in 6-inch and 7-inch sizes, installed by our own crew. One continuous run along the roof edge instead of short pieces joined together — fewer seams means fewer places to leak.
- 6-inch seamless gutters
- 7-inch seamless gutters
- Pairs with a new roof, or on its own

Will impact windows really lower my insurance?
Usually, yes. Florida insurers give a discount for protecting the windows and doors, and it's one of the bigger discounts on a policy. After the work is done and inspected, an inspector fills out a form for your insurance company. How much you save depends on your policy and your roof, and covering every window and door earns more than covering some of them. We'll be straight with you about what to expect rather than promising a number we can't control.
What is PACE, and would I qualify?
PACE is a program that pays for a roof, windows or doors, and you pay it back through your property tax bill instead of a regular loan. We're Ygrene Certified, and PACE approval isn't based on your credit score. It isn't offered everywhere and each program has its own rules, so we check your address first and walk you through it.
What kind of windows and doors do you install?
High impact rated windows and doors, in every style and shape your house has. We work with more than one manufacturer, so we can pick the right product for your house and your budget instead of forcing one brand on every job.
My roof only leaks in one spot. Do I need a whole new roof?
Maybe not. The right scope depends on the damage, the roof's condition and its code history. Florida's 25% rule has an exception for roofing systems or sections that comply with the 2007 Florida Building Code or a later edition. We check which requirements apply to your roof before recommending repairs or replacement. We'll show you what we find, put repair-or-replace in writing with the reason, and let you decide before anything is torn off.
How long does the whole thing take?
The waiting is mostly on the window and door order, not at your house. Once everything is measured, permitted and built, most homes are done in one to three days depending on how many windows there are and whether there's stucco work around them. We give you a real date up front and tell you right away if it moves.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — and you shouldn't take our word for it. Windows Roofs Plus Inc. holds Florida Certified Roofing Contractor license CCC1333631 and Broward County Structural Carpentry Specialty Contractor license 21-CRP-22416-X, carries liability and workers' comp, and is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating. You can look the license up yourself at myfloridalicense.com, and you should do that with any contractor who knocks on your door.
What kind of warranty do I get?
The windows, doors and roofing materials all come with the manufacturer's warranty. Our own workmanship warranty is written into your contract in plain language — ask us for it, read it, and ask anyone else you're getting a quote from for theirs too. If a contractor won't put a warranty in writing, that tells you something.
